Luke 13:22-30:
Jesus is heading to Jerusalem, to his suffering and death. The question posed to him about few being saved is presumptuous on the part of the person asking. Jesus does not answer directly but uses the opportunity to warn the people about misunderstanding what discipleship requires and the cost it brings. It is not an easy road.
On this journey with you I falter, I fall, I lose hope. I am ever thankful that you catch me when I falter, pick me up when I fall, and when I despair, you restore my hope.
