Luke 16:19-31:
The rich man is oblivious to the needs of the man at his door. How can this be when the man’s suffering is so obvious? This is powerful example of the sin of indifference for which the one will be harshly judged. His appeal to Abraham is too little too late. It is the man who had absolutely nothing in his earthly life yet is carried to heaven by angels where he will have it all.
I pray to be a good steward, to be aware of the needs of others and to share willingly my time, talent and treasure. St. Patrick, pray for us.
