John 14:23-29:
At the conclusion of the Last Supper discourse, Jesus reassures the disciples by telling them that he will send them the Advocate, God’s Spirit, to be with them always. The Spirit will continue to teach them and remind them what Jesus has told them. He offers them his peace and tells them not to be afraid in his absence for he will return.
It is that peace I long for when I am afraid. Your peace is more than a feeling. It is letting you carry my burdens and letting me rest in you.
