Matthew 22:34-40:
The question posed by the scribe had nothing to do with concern or interest. It was meant to test Jesus. In response Jesus, a good Jewish teacher, sums up the Torah in a very simple statement. Love of God is made manifest by loving neighbor. This is not meant to disregard other laws but rather to point to what is at the heart of God’s law.
May we be attentive also to love of self and pray for all those who are burdened by a negative self- image.
Caritas Zambia is a Catholic Organisation that is an integral structure of the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB). The Conference of Bishops is a permanent grouping of Bishops of a given nation or territory that jointly exercises certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of their territory.
