Caritas Zambia would like to express its deepest appreciation to the many individuals and organisations that supported and helped to complete the development of this 2018 - 2022 Strategic Plan document.
In doing so, we express our indebtedness to Ms. Mpala Nkonkomalimba, the consultant who facilitated and guided the process of developing this plan and its theory of change from the initial stages to its completion. Her appropriate challenges for the staff to think strategically and call on our innovative capacity helped us to re-shape our focus and responses to the socioeconomic, political and cultural challenges that Zambia is facing at the moment.
Furthermore, Caritas Zambia acknowledges the crucial role of the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops Management team who supported the process by making sure that the plan takes into account the focus areas of the ZCCB strategic plan. As a result of this intervention Caritas Zambia was able to develop this plan in line with the Vision and Mission of the ZCCB. In addition, the participation of our diocesan partners, with whom we share the vision and mission of ZCCB and that of this Strategic Plan, in the development of this plan is greatly appreciated. The diocesan partners helped Caritas Zambia to focus on issues that are not only relevant at the National level, but also at the local community level. So we thank Ndola, Livingstone, Mpika, Lusaka, Kasama, Kabwe and Chipata dioceses for this.
Special gratitude and thanks go to all the Cooperating Partners that provided both financial and technical support for this process. These are Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Catholic International Development Charity (CAFOD), Irish Aid and Diakonia. Caritas Zambia will for a long time appreciate the support these organisations have continued rendering.
